De zaak Astronaut
Er is een man aangespoeld op een van de Nederlandse Waddeneilanden. Over zijn identiteit is niets bekend. Omdat de man geen woord zegt, wordt hij opgenomen op de psychiatrische afdeling van een ziekenhuis. Als een verpleegkundige hem pen en papier overhandigt, in de hoop dat hij zijn naam opschrijft, tekent de man in plaats daarvan gedetailleerd de planeten en hemellichamen van ons zonnestelsel. Hij krijgt de bijnaam Astronaut.
Om zijn identiteit te achterhalen, opent de politie een tiplijn. Er wordt meer dan 500 keer gebeld… Waarom spreekt de mysterieuze man zo ontzettend tot de verbeelding? Ik, journalist Olivier Trapmann, ga de tips na en wordt geconfronteerd met een bezielingstatoeëerder, een miraculeuze gebedsgenezer, een vrouw met meer dan honderd halfbroers en -zussen, maar uiteindelijk vooral… met mezelf.
Deze fictiepodcast is onderdeel van een multidisciplinair project waarin een roman, een podcast en een muziekalbum samenkomen. De podcast is in 2021 genomineerd voor de NTR Podcastprijs en winnaar van de Dutch Directors Guild prijs.
