The Ultimate Sacrifice
It was a scene of unspeakable evil when a routine callout turned into Queensland's deadliest police shooting. Four young police officers were ambushed in the outback town of Wieambilla. Two were executed in cold blood, and an innocent neighbour was also gunned down. Two officers escaped the siege, injured but alive. Dozens of police reinforcements engaged in a six-hour gunfight against three heavily armed cop killers. An investigation would unearth a dark and twisted web of conspiracy theories and religiously motivated terrorism. How a routine callout spiraled into a bloody massacre will be probed in a coronial inquest. The Ultimate Sacrifice is the latest podcast from the acclaimed team of 9News presenter Melissa Downes and producer Jessica Lodge, following their multiple award-winning podcast Hannah's Story, and is produced in partnership with 9News and 9Podcasts. Content Warning: This series contains content that may be distressing for some listeners.
We Are Human Leaders
Welcome to We Are Human Leaders - big conversations around human-centred leadership at work and beyond.
This is a story about you, as a Human, and a Leader. It doesn’t matter your industry, your geography, the products you sell or the services that you offer. It doesn’t matter if you’re in a corporation, or a small business, it doesn’t matter your profit margins or your official job title. Our common denominator is the same, we are humans first and leaders second.
This is a call to everyone who prioritizes learning and growth to truly put Humans first in business. Human Leaders is changing how we work to ensure business and humans can thrive through work.
Human Leaders create workplaces where every single person feels seen, their contributions valued and their voice heard. We’re mobilizing the global leadership community to reimagine what work looks like and we’re glad you’re on this journey with us.
