I am an assistant Educational Technologist at the University of Hertfordshire in the School of Health and Social Work. Prior to this role, I was a full-time Computing / ICT secondary computing teacher. I have a great interest in the application of Creative Multimedia Technologies and Digital arts within education. Currently exploring ways in which eLearning related technologies such as podcast, interactive multimedia video tutorials could be used to support teach and learning. • HSK student pod has been created for all students in the School of Health and Social work • This is a podcast series which will cover a range of topics including keeping students up to date on what is going on in the school, useful tips and advice for getting ahead with their studies, and some special interest items with guest speakers. Our aim is to produce the podcast twice a month so that students have something fresh and new to listen to regularly. (Due to other commitments we may currently only be possible to produce one podcast per month and see how things go)
Coffee Break French
Learn French in coffee-break lessons from the Radio Lingua Network. In each lesson we'll focus on the language you need to know and before long you'll be making yourself understood with native French speakers. Season 1 lessons are for absolute beginners, and the courses increase in difficulty as the seasons progress.

Heroes and Legends is a channel dedicated to exploring the lives and stories of great and inspiring individuals that have made an impact on history, culture or our way of life. Some of these may be little known to the wider world, even though they impacted significantly on the destinies of their own people. Others may have been condemned unfairly by history and deserve to have their contributions reviewed. We hope that by bringing their stories to light, we can all learn from their experiences, be inspired by them and enrich the tapestry of knowledge that exists outside the narrative of our own culture.

The Emergent Multiverse
The Many-Worlds Interpretation (MWI) of quantum mechanics holds that quantum theory - our best current theory of physics - is correctly understood as claiming that there are many worlds that exist in parallel to our own and which branch constantly off our own. The existence of the other worlds makes it possible to make sense of physics without action-at-a-distance, objective randomness, or any strange role for "observer" or "consciousness". During this weekend school we shall be discussing this interpretation of quantum mechanics and asking what would follow from its being the correct one.
