Owen Jones, journalist, author of Chavs and The Establishment, or "that left-wing idiot off the telly", is fed up with the establishment media. Ali Hamedani, a journalist and broadcaster, embarked on his career journey with BBC World Service in Persian language radio and television. Across a span of 17 years with the BBC, he contributed to prominent BBC News platforms such as BBC News Channel, BBC Newsnight, and various BBC Radio services. Notably, he hosted the morning radio show within the Persian Service for several years. Ali holds the distinction of being the first openly Iranian gay journalist to report on stories concerning the community from within Iran.
